They're Here!

What you've all been waiting for: Pictures of my Sockwars Socks!
And now for a close up!Oooooooh!
Finally, i've got around to downloading those photos!

Me trying to be artsy with my half finished first sock:

More detail on the sock, see the pretty scars?

Ooooooh, look at the pretty! Guess who spun that? Me! Then i put wound it into a skein on my niddy noddy, put it on my umbrella swift and wound it into a ball on my brand spanking new (second hand) Ball Winder! Yay, i finally have one. Look at the pretty ball...
The yarn is from 50% merino/50% silk painted tops i bought at the Bendigo wool show. I spun it slubby, then plied it with thin silk thread to make it bobbly. Pretty!

Weave Along

Found it yesterday, bought a loom today (ebay) I can start when the loom arrives if i've finished my research and my socks wars socks

www.eLoomanator.eLoomaNation.com

I put a link in my links bar too so i can find it again!

Speaking of sock wars, i finished (including toe grafting and weaving in ends) one sock. The second has ribbed cuff and 1 scar. I'm at uni so i can't post photos right now. Here's some others' socks so you'll get what a scar is.

Duh, i just checked yarnmonkey's blog (even if she ain't got yarnmonkey any more) Yarnmonkey is the Sockwars General. She's posted the pattern! Funny, that...
